Expo 2025 Osaka

April 13 > October 13, 2025
Discover the main theme that has won Japan the right to host World Expo 2025. A global event under the banner of innovation and hope, where 160 countries will unveil their visions for building a healthier, more sustainable and more inclusive future.

What is a World Expo?

A World Expo is like a World Forum, a place where countries from all over the world share their visions of tomorrow’s world and society. This attracts a very broad public, from tourists to families, business people and many others. Each of these visitors is looking for something different: emotions, excitement, information, contacts, networking and so on. Each participating country does its utmost to offer visitors exactly that in its own pavilion.

Designing Future Society for Our Lives

This is the theme that enabled Japan to be selected by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) for the 2025 edition. An ambitious world’s fair, full of hope for the planet, the idea being to enable 160 countries to showcase their assets for a healthier world. And how? Through three axes: saving lives, inspiring lives and connecting lives. Belgium, for its part, has chosen to invest in the saving lives area, in order to highlight its achievements in the field of health.
