The academic mission
2025-04-14Higher education, research, arts... A French-speaking Belgian academic delegation on a mission to Japan.
In conjunction with the Osaka 2025 World Expo, around forty representatives of higher education establishments and researchers from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation will be travelling to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto to meet their Japanese counterparts and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Objective of the mission
The aim is to strengthen existing academic partnerships, formalise agreements with renowned higher education establishments, particularly in the arts, boost bilateral student mobility and gain a better understanding of the Japanese research ecosystem, which is recognised worldwide in key disciplines such as biology, medicine, physics and robotics.
This initiative, supported by Wallonie-Bruxelles International and Wallonie-Bruxelles Campus, aims to increase the visibility and attractiveness of French-speaking Belgian higher education internationally.
